Full & Partial House Rewires
Old fuses you have to rewire by hand? Cables in rubber or fabric? Then your home may be due a rewire. It is the biggest electrical job a house ever needs, so we plan it with you first. We walk round room by room and agree where every socket, switch and light should go.
Floors get covered, walls are cut neatly and everything is made good after. We rewire new town houses in Livingston, stone cottages in the villages and tenement flats in Edinburgh and Glasgow. The whole house is fully tested when we finish and you get a plan for each day before we start.

Rewires questions, answered
How much does a full rewire cost?
Most full rewires of a three-bed house around Livingston land between £4,000 and £7,500. Tenement flats in Edinburgh and Glasgow often cost less. The size of the home, the number of circuits and the making good all move the price. We see the property first, then give you one fixed price in writing before any work starts.
How long does a rewire take?
About one to two weeks for a normal three-bedroom house. It depends on the size and whether you are living in it. You get a day-by-day plan before we start.
Can we stay in the house during a rewire?
Most of the time, yes. We work room by room and try to keep the power on at night. On bigger jobs an empty house can be quicker and we will tell you honestly if that applies.
Do you rewire tenement flats?
Yes. We plan the cable routes with you, keep the mess inside your flat and keep the stair clear for your neighbours.
