Make your own power and store it for the evening

Solar Panels & Battery Storage

Long Scottish summer days are good for solar. Add a battery and the power you make in the day can run your home in the evening. The trick is a system built for your own roof and your own use, rather than one kit for every house.

We look at which way your roof faces and what shades it, then size the panels, inverter and battery to fit. We fit the lot neatly, from the panels on the roof to the connection at your fuse box and test it all before we hand it over. Want a battery on its own, to store cheap night power? We fit those too.

Solar & batteries questions, answered

How much do solar panels cost?

A typical 4kW solar system on a West Lothian home costs about £5,000 to £8,000. With a home battery, most systems land between £8,000 and £12,000. Your roof, the panels and the battery size move the price. You get the design and one fixed price in writing before anything is ordered.

Does solar work in Scotland?

Yes. Panels run on daylight rather than heat. Our long summer days help too. A south-facing roof is best, but east and west roofs still do well. We will tell you straight if it doesn't add up for your home.

Do I need a battery?

Not always, but it is often where you save the most. Without one, spare power goes back to the grid. A battery keeps it for your evening. We can price both ways so you can choose.

Can you add a battery to the solar panels I already have?

Usually, yes. We check your panels and inverter first and tell you which battery will work with them.
