Good garden lighting lets you use the garden on long summer nights and keeps paths safe in winter. We fit it across Edinburgh, most often in the west of the city where we are closest. Homes in Corstorphine, Clermiston, Currie, Balerno and Juniper Green tend to have bigger gardens, some with views up to the Pentland Hills. Tenement back greens in places like Gorgie and Leith are shared, so we only work there with the owners' say so.
We plan the lights with you first: uplights on trees and walls, lights along the path, LED strips under steps or a few spotlights on a patio. Cables are buried in protected duct or run along fences out of sight. Every fitting is rated for outside and goes on its own safe circuit with a switch, a timer or an app. Garden lighting in Edinburgh usually costs £400 to £1,500, depending on how many lights you want and how far the cable runs. You get one fixed price before we start.

Your questions, answered
Can you add an outdoor socket at the same time?
Yes. Lots of customers add a socket for a pressure washer, garden tools or party lights. It goes on the same safe outdoor circuit.
Will garden lights survive an Edinburgh winter?
Yes, if they are the right fittings. We only fit lights rated for outside and we seal every joint.
Do I need to dig up the lawn?
Not always. Where we can, we run cables along fences, walls and borders. Where a cable has to cross the lawn, we cut a neat narrow trench and put the turf back.
